Hello Everyone, We have been so blessed and humbled as we look back over our 21 years of ministry to northern Haiti, in answering Our Lord`s call to serve the precious Haitian people… by “Hearing the Cry of the Poor” and by “Not Being Afraid!” The ongoing prayers and generosity in support of the work of Project Precious Haiti is truly amazing…. only by the Grace of God! We are truly thankful for our dedicated board of directors who are committed to the mission of PPH. Our hearts have been touched so deeply and changed forever! All this support gives us such needed strength to carry on serving the Haitian people.
We would like to briefly highlight some of the work we have been blessed to be involved with in the early years, and in what we are concentrating on at the present time. -Jim has helped with many upgrades to the water systems at HBS and the town of Limbe -we have taken in many tools, plumbing and electrical supplies, medical supplies, school supplies, and religious articles, including 1,000’s of Rosaries -we purchased a generator for HBS to help with 24/7 electricity -we helped renovate an older building into a foster home which now houses 8 children -for the Kai Mira orphanage we donated wheelchairs, strollers, toys, games, clothing, chairs, and donated money for feeding the children -we distributed 100`s of Creole Children’s Bible story books to the young and old alike. -we have visited the Haitian people in their homes to experience their culture and share Faith with them. We have made so many lasting friendships through our mission, be it in Haiti, or here in Canada!
Presently: -we help to provide feeding programs to 7 schools, which is so important, since this noon meal of rice and beans is the only meal most of these students will receive in a day -we help with the feeding of the foster home and orphanage children -we provide tuitions for 8 students and school supplies to 20+ students in a very poor slum in Limbe
As heart wrenching as it is, we are unable to travel to Haiti, currently, due to political unrest and the limited availability of getting into the country. Our last trip into Haiti was in October of 2023. We are truly thankful, however, to be able to continue to wire money to our contacts in Haiti. The work of PPH is still carrying on. It has never stopped, as we have good, honest and trustworthy people there on the ground. They need to be accountable to us, so that we can be accountable to all our very generous benefactors! Our Lord God has blessed us so well with our dedicated Haitian friends who truly care about their Haitian brothers and sisters! They have taught us so much through their great faith and resilience! We are quite excited to inform you, our 21-year total to date is $1,498,835!!! Please consider helping us surpass the $1.5 million mark. We, along with the Haitian people, are so truly grateful for this ongoing amazing support through your prayers and monetary donations which help to keep much needed HOPE alive in Haiti!
God Bless you Jim & Marg
